Can You Feed Rabbits Hamster Food
I know rabbits and hamsters can t share pellets store bought food mixes since they need different nutrients and minerals and such from the pellet part of their diet.
Can you feed rabbits hamster food. Rabbits are herbivores and should avoid things like nuts and seeds. Also while there are particular foods in the hamster s diet that you can feed a guinea pig not all of the hamster s food qualify. As far as the non pellet food mix part of their diet though can i feed my hamster little bits of whatever i m feeding the bunnies. If your rabbit is old enough about 6 months then you can maybe give her some dark leafy veggies.
I dont get it. You may have more than one animal companion and perhaps you were hoping to feed two birds with one hand so to speak. Any seed mix is just junk food for a rabbit. No rabbits can t eat hamster food or any foods made for other animals.
Can a guinea pig eat hamster food. I d go with giving the rabbit a bit of fruit but not fruit that is too sugary. Rabbit food is made for rabbits. I dont think that hamster food is a very good idea.
Seeds are ok with rabbits as well but i wouldnt give too many. Rabbits need a diet that is particularly high in fiber and hamsters are not fed the same way so it follows food designed for hamsters would not be ideal for rabbits. They have different food requirements so if you feed your pet rabbit hamster food it would not get the nutrients it needs because the food it s eating isn t specific to its digestive anatomy.
